Chairman of the Board
Initially drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers, Mr. Land’s baseball aspirations were cut short by a torn rotator cuff. Shifting his focus, he launched his career in transportation by founding the Joseph Land Group, Inc. "I had a dream and no money," he recalls, yet within 25 years, he grew the company from $50,000 to $179 million in annual revenue.
At its height, the Joseph Land Group had 23 offices, 1,500 trucks, and employed 2,000 people. PricewaterhouseCoopers rated them the eighth-largest refrigerated transportation company in North America and the 18th largest company in South Carolina.
Mr. Land currently serves as Chairman of the Board for American Health at Home. He graduated from the University of South Carolina and was Captain of the USC baseball team. He lives in Charleston, South Carolina, with his wife, Jennifer. He is a proud Grandfather of 7 and Father of 8 children.
